Collins Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineering Co-op for our Air Transport Systems Engineering team located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This organization is responsible for developing and supporting real-time embedded software for numerous processing platforms used in our commercial airline avionics products and cockpit display systems. What You Will Do * Support the design, development, and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software for commercial aviation solutions and avionics products * Contribute to assigned cross-functional engineering project team responsible for the design, development, and verification of real-time embedded software * Support project team activities related to the specification of requirements, software implementation, test case development, verification test execution, and certification support * Work with desktop computer in an office environment and with target hardware in an engineering lab to achieve the goal of delivering a high-quality software product within schedule and cost constraints What You Will Learn * You will deepen your understanding of aircraft systems engineering, gaining insights into integration and development processes * You will gain exposure to Avionics regulatory and certification requirements and processes * You will expand your professional network, working alongside industry experts and global teams * You will learn why people enjoy and feel fulfilled by working in our industry Qualifications You Must Have * Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
