THE JOB As a Makeup Artist at Aria, you will play a key role in enhancing our guests' confidence and satisfaction through professional makeup applications, airbrush techniques, lash extensions, and waxing services. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest's experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us. THE STARTING PAY RATE: Commission Only THE DAY-TO-DAY * Deliver consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service to surpass guest expectations * Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation standards * Provide a range of services, including makeup applications, airbrush techniques, lash extensions, and waxing, ensuring both creative and technically precise results in line with departmental protocols * Stay informed about all products, retail offerings, and the latest trends and techniques in makeup * Promote and sell service treatments, enhancements, upgrades, and retail products effectively WHAT YOU'LL NEED: * Must be 21 years of age or older * One (1) year of previous professional Makeup Artist experience * Cosmetology License issued from the State of Nevada * Must currently hold or able to obtain both an Alcohol Awareness and Health cards * High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: * Two (2) years of previous professional Makeup Artist experience * Experience in a similar luxury spa or salon setting, to include retail * Experience with permanent lash extensions * Experience with doing makeup for weddings * Professional experience with body waxing, to include Brazilian waxing * Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills * Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards * Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders * Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms THE PERKS & BENEFITS: * Free meals in our Aria employee dining room * Free parking on and off-shift at all MGM Resorts properties * Professional and personal development opportunities through employee programs and network groups * Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally * Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
