This role is responsible for managing the procurement activities across several business units covering over a billion dollars in spend annually, across hundreds of suppliers, using numerous technologies. This position manages procurement operations and strategies to ensure materials and services meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Oversees supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and risk management while ensuring compliance with company regulations. Responsible for daily procurement transaction and systems tasks in supported commodities and projects. Provides support to employees on all procurement and system related matters and maintains effective communications and interface with the organization and the suppliers. This position will assist in systems management and provide leadership on optimizing processes across the procurement team. Duties and Responsibilities: * Ability to deconstruct and solve complex business problems; analyze situations, develop strategies, present and persuade others of strategy, effectively and efficiently execute strategy. * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with frequent communication touchpoints. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all category activities are aligned to a common set of goals and priorities. * Analyze deals to understand total cost of ownership and identify opportunities for optimization. Implement cost reduction initiatives through effective internal stakeholders / supplier partnerships working closely with the Sourcing team for competitive bidding scenarios. * Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Promote ethical business practices and uphold the highest standards of integrity in all dealings with suppliers and internal stakeholders. * Maintain a high-level knowledge of all procurement, supplier, contract management and sourcing solution suites. * Understand and develop redundant processes, where required, to ensure smooth and efficient production flow. Participate in continuous improvement activities and provides suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiency. * Procure product and services from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. * Process purchase orders in accordance with company standards and policies and procedures. * Review procurement of non-standard items. Working with Sourcing and selects suppliers for lower cost items or items of limited scope and complexity, and negotiates price, delivery, quality, and service. * Maintain and assist with communicating changes to product standards, price changes, and policies. * Provide systems user guides and training as needed on Procurement systems. * Create and reviews reports to ensure purchase orders, invoice payments etc. are accurately being processed and documented. * Review supplier accounts aging reports to ensure all purchases are paid in a timely manner. * Act as primary back up to T&E and Procurement systems manager understanding systemic maintenance, change actions, and administration. * Procure 2 Pay (P2P) systems form and template management. * Oversee catalog management with suppliers. * Assist in implementation of Procure 2 Pay (P2P) systems new features or business requirements. * Assist in monitoring Procure 2 Pay (P2P) systems compliance and assist with process documentation for internal audit. * Assist with submitting Procure 2 Pay (P2P) systems supplier support creating support tickets and troubleshooting issues. * Actively involved in the solution implementation to ensure that solutions are accurately scoped and delivered in line with the expectations of the business. * Work on final configuration set up and guide customers in UAT. * Other procurement and systems duties and special projects as assigned. Competencies: * Data driven, analytic mindset, and skills to find business insight and procurement opportunities (saving, process improvement, supplier continuous improvement, etc.). * Eager to learn, ability to learn new tools and technology quickly. * Significant experience in Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, Docusign, and a contract management system. * Work collaboratively and proactively to drive results. * Can prioritize effectively by spending time on what's important, eliminates roadblocks, and creates focus. * Strong change management skills and knows how to get things done through formal channels and informal networks. * Dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers; gains trust and respect. Qualifications: * 10+ years of progressive experience in a Fortune 500 procurement environment. * Strong analytical capabilities to identify cost-saving opportunities, process optimization, analyze spending trends, and make data-driven decisions. * Excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Strong team player who can demonstrate ability to work in a cross functional environment. * Continuous improvement mindset. * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. * Proficient in procurement software and systems. * Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask in a flexible, fast-paced, and challenging environment. * Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
