Be at the forefront of cell therapy innovation by joining scientists, industry veterans and healthcare visionaries and help transform how autoimmune diseases are treated Kyverna is seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Research Associate to support Analytical Science and Technology (AS&T) in its Technical Operations organization to help advance its mission to free patients from the siege of autoimmune disease.  Reporting to the Associate Director of Analytical Science and Technology, the Sr RA role is responsible for performing and documenting laboratory-based studies in support to Product Development studies and/or Drug Product extended characterization. Responsibilities * Perform cell-based assays, flow cytometry analyses and other molecular and immune assays to characterize in-process and final drug products following developed methods. * Support in-house testing of Process Development by providing analytical testing and data analysis. * Manage and analyze data, create data reports and summaries to communicate testing outcomes. * Document laboratory procedures and experiments with great attention to detail and maintain accurate lab records as per quality standards and electronic lab notebooks. * Develop equipment procedures to support equipment management and performance. * Help writing protocols, reports, and standard operating procedures as needed. * Familiarity with laboratory support software such as Benchling, FlowJo and Graphpad. * Support logistics of sample management between the AS&T team and other internal groups. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements * Bachelor's with 5+ or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/ biotech experience in biological sciences (biochemistry, biology, immunology, genetics, or related area biochemistry, molecular and cell biology) . T cell biology and immunology background are preferred. * Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following laboratory experience: * execution and data analysis of multicolor Flow cytometry experiments * experience with mammalian tissue culture on adherent and suspension cells * experience with immunoassay (ELISA, Ella, Isoplex, MSD, etc.) * experience with molecular assays (PCR, ddPCR, qPCR, NGS, etc.) * Knowledge or direct experience with programming languages and/or data visualization is a plus. * Experience in development laboratory environment is desired. * Experience drafting documents such as SOPs or batch records. * Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, documenting laboratory procedures and experiments with great attention to detail and maintain accurate lab records and notebooks * Ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Resourcefulness in overcoming challenges and possessing the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment (must be an excellent team player), meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. $125,000 - $155,000 a year The salary range for candidates residing in California for this position is $125,000 USD to $155,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation geographic location, individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
