Department: College of Education and Health Professions Department's Website: https://nursing.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties: The Executive Director serves as the Head of the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing (EMSON) and supports and promotes its mission and vision. The Executive Director leads the academic programs, research activities, and service functions of the School, manages the budget and personnel, and ensures the delivery of high-quality and relevant curriculum across all programs. This position is responsible for providing leadership for the BSN, MSN, and DNP on-campus and online programs, which are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and creating an environment that promotes excellence among faculty, staff, and students. The Executive Director represents the School to outside stakeholders and fosters collaborative relationships with local hospitals, clinics, and other health-care related professions. The position reports to the Dean of the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas. This position is also the holder of the George M. and Boyce W. Billingsley Endowed Chair. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
