Akkodis is seeking a Process Technician for a Contract job with a client in Maple Grove MN Ideally looking for someone who has medical device manufacturing industry experience. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Essential Job Functions * Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment issues to minimize downtime and meet production goals. * Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures. * Work with vendors and suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and equipment. * Work with engineers on continuous improvement projects and new product transfers. * Work with departmental customers to improve material / process quality. * Identify and assist in resolving safety, health, or environmental issues associated with processes or equipment, and maintain compliance with good manufacturing practices. * Train and provide technical support to product builders. * Assist in writing and executing validation protocols and technical reports. Minimum requirements: * HS Diploma required * Tech degree is preferred / on-the-job training also favorable. * Must have over 6months of extrusion experience and understand terminology. * Polymer processing experience * Mechanical aptitude * Hands on experience. * Recent extrusion experience * Knows extrusion terminology * Someone with a Tech degree, preferred * Someone with on-the-job training * MUST have a mechanical skillset (previous machining, use of tools, hands-on experience) * Polymer processing experience!
