The Opportunity The US 3PL PT Warehouse Network Orchestrator is responsible for the strategic network orchestration of capacity, inventory management, performance management, continuous improvement and cost control of the 3PL Warehouses in support of the US Warehouse Network. This includes ownership for up to three years of capacity and scenario planning of the 3PL warehouse network in close alignment with Global Functions. The US 3PL PT Warehouse Network Orchestrator is responsible for driving for continued network optimization through established processes across the Logistics Management function and the strategic US 4PLs and 3PLs. The PT Supply Chain North America Organization (PTSN) contributes to a better society by connecting across our network to supply therapeutics that give life and hope to our patients. The Logistics Management and Supply Chain Compliance organization is responsible for Maintaining a resilient and agile domestic and International logistical network to move our material and medicines. We also ensure corporate wide trade compliance in accordance with the US Customs and Border Protection Agency and the Bureau of Industry and Security requirements for pharmaceutical project, research material, and other company related materials imported or exported into or out of the United States. What You'll Do * Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on the Joint Management Team for Lonza VV CMO Warehouse for GNE Network Materials * Drive monthly reviews on actual space usage and overall capacity at Lonza VV CMO Warehouse and strategic 3PL Warehouses, and negotiate with third parties to optimize network capacity over a 3-year horizon. Additionally, own performance management, including KPI tracking, of these warehouses in collaboration with GNE Manufacturing Sites, Quality, CDMO, and Procurement. * Own VV CMO Warehouse Forecasting and Capacity planning in close alignment with Procurement and the CDMO team, to align production plans governed in Supply Agreements with capacity requirements for GNE Network Materials. * Develop, analyze and improve 3PL Warehouse Network centralized capacity planning process and tools in close collaboration with the Global Warehouse Council * Ownership of budget of 3PL Warehouse services, and cost allocation throughout the Internal Materials Management network based on defined framework * Liaise between Supply Chain, Procurement, and Materials Management ensuring uninterrupted operations and material flow; identify and drive for continuous improvement opportunities. * Collaborate with Logistics Management and strategic 4PL and 3PL providers to optimize capacity, process, material flows, cost efficiency, and sustainability for the US network * Work with US Warehouse and Materials Management Heads, PT Supply Chain, Global Procurement, external Quality, CDMO, and other stakeholder groups to develop recommendations for network needs, ensuring endorsement by the Warehouse Council. Additionally, operate with a strong background in applying GMP principles, particularly Good Distribution Practices, GSPs, and SOPs related to Warehouse operations, and build and maintain collaborative partnerships across the network, communicating effectively with leadership and network partners on logistical matters. Who You Are * You have eight or more years of experience in Logistics Management or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical and/or cold chain logistics * You have experience with ERP and SCP systems, GSuite, MSOffice tools * You have the ability to make high-impact decisions autonomously, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to build and maintain cross-functional business relationships. You also have strong data analytics, influencing and negotiation skills Preferred * You have a bachelor/master degree in life science, business, industrial engineering or equivalent * Experience in selection, implementation and management of logistics suppliers and capacity planning * Certification(s) in Lean Production System or Agile practices are a strong plus * APICS certification (or equivalent) a plus Relocation benefits are not available for this role. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $118,400 - $219,800 . Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
