Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience: * Strong oral and written communication skills * Proven ability to multi-task * Detail oriented * Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environment The candidate will use customer obsession and analytics to inform creative solutions to drive their business. The Vendor Manager will have the opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors). They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to drive performance for our vendor partners. A day in the life Vendor Managers conceive, create and analyze a wide range of levers to drive vendor growth, brand awareness, negotiations and topline revenue. This role is also responsible for inventory management, product launches, pricing, and conducting detailed analysis to identify opportunities to drive growth for the vendor. Vendor Manager roles are in the General Management career path at Amazon. The General Management career path offers the opportunity for advancement into a variety of roles including Marketing/Merchandising, Vendor Management, Product Management and Inventory Management. About the team Note we are hiring both Retail Vendor Managers II & Sr. Vendor Managers III Basic Qualifications for Vendor Manager II (see below). Basic Qualifications for Sr. Vendor Manager III: * 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience * Bachelor's degree * Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL * Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration * Experience using data to influence business decisions * Experience with business analysis and P&L management BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of with Excel experience * 5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience * Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership * Bachelor's degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements * Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
