JOB SUMMARY Picture Show is seeking an Accounting and Financial Analyst Intern at our Corporate office in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, investigative, resourceful, and willing to assist by taking on projects and challenges. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist with concession order guides and costing * Assist in preparation of bi-weekly scorecards for general managers to measure performance in key areas * Detailed review of weekly theatre inventories to include received goods, wastage, adjustments, variances and weeks of supply on hand * Prepares reports tracking labor costs and payroll utilization * Assist in review of employee schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with labor goals * Assist in regular reconciliation of credit card and cash deposits as well as theatre petty cash accounts and cash drawer variances * Offer analytical support for all departments with the company on an as needed basis * Through communication with theatres and review of service records/invoices, ensure proper preventative maintenance on various theatre equipment is performed in required intervals * Completes special projects and other duties as assigned * Researches, tracks, and resolves accounting problems. Investigates questionable data. * Assist with the review of vendor invoicing to ensure adherence to agreed upon pricing * Compiles and analyses data and prepares a variety of reports. * Audits various areas including inventories, cashier records & customer passes. * Basic office functions such as mailings, scanning, making copies, faxing, organizing electronic files, making calls, and shredding. * Assists with accounting projects in the office. * Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality * Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities. * Performs other duties as directed by management. Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS * Excel skills, including strong knowledge of formulas. Experience with macros and pivot tables are a plus * Strong computer literacy * Proficient in basic computer functions such as word processing and email as well as the Microsoft Office suite * A helpful, can-do attitude * Ability to learn new software systems and databases * A flexible work style and the ability to handle multiple, changing assignments/priorities * Ability to manage a high level of detail with accuracy * Strong interpretive, mathematic, analytical and evaluative thinking skills * Desire to be a problem solver and solution finder.
