Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is looking for a Business Process Improvement Engineer. SUMMARY The New Generation Systems (NGS) Business Excellence team is responsible for our NGS Strategic Process & System Improvement initiatives supporting our organization's vision and operational objectives. We are currently looking for a Business Process Improvement Engineer to join our team to help evaluate, design, simplify, and manage NGS processes to fit within our strategic goals and programs. As our Business Process Improvement Engineer, you will initiate, lead, and facilitate process evaluation, design, and harmonization for our organization. Together with our NGS cross-functional teams you will assess existing processes to identify and implement process ideas aimed at productivity and efficiency improvements. This role is crucial in driving NGS continual growth through people, processes, and purpose. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Primary duties include but are not limited to: Map and evaluate current process landscape and maintain as required. Conduct data and time analysis deep dives to identify redundancies and non-value-add activities. Evaluate, design, and monitor NGS processes and recommend improvements and simplification programs for enhanced productivity and efficiency. Plan and lead cross-departmental process reviews and Lean/Kaizen workshops to identify simplification and harmonization opportunities of current processes. Document requirements, processes, and work instructions in support of business process improvement initiatives. Support our internal NGS people, and process improvement programs. Support the preparation, completion, and presentation of NGS program reports and organizational KPls to ensure accuracy and alignment with our stakeholders. Lead development of process improvement projects from definition through closure, including project status updates to our organization. Establish collaboration across departments to ensure NGS programs are synchronized, meet our strategic goals, and consider how changes affect up/downstream processes and tasks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Project Management, or related field and a minimum of 3 years of previous experience with process improvement programs, development, and mapping of business processes. Experience in data manipulation and analysis, time studies, process improvement & simplification. Experience using various data analysis tools such as Pareto charts, flowcharts, histograms, scatter diagrams and fish-bone diagrams. Organized self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strategic thinker with proven ability to take ownership, organize and lead improvement initiatives across organizations. Clear and concise communicator with strong negotiation skills who communicates with a diverse audience at various levels of our organization - ability to listen, interpret & extrapolate data and generate forward thinking actions. Relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills that form positive working relationships and organizational networks. Curious and highly self-motivated, out-of-the-box thinker, creative problem solver with the ability to challenge status quo based on business value and dynamic changes in our organization and market. Adaptable, eager to learn in a dynamic, fast paced environment with excellent time management skills to drive project timelines. Preferred: Project Management knowledge, ability to create project plans including project schedules and business cases. Computer Skills: Medium to advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation tool and database, data manipulation and any other tools as required for the role. Experience with MS suite of tools required. Experience with Visio, PowerBI, and MS Project a PLUS.
