Role description: As part of the executive leadership team for Ardagh Glass Packaging - North America (AGP-NA), the Chief Operations Officer is responsible for developing and executing the overall operations plan and strategy for the business. This position participates in company-wide governance decisions along with CEO, CFO, CCO, and various senior leadership from SG&A functions. The COO holds overall responsibility for the profitability and continuous improvement of the manufacturing facilities and supporting operational functions. Responsibilities: * Develop the overall strategy for workplace safety, environmental compliance, operational excellence, people development, quality, customer service, cost control, project investment execution, and process improvement for our manufacturing facilities * Develop the long-range plan (LRP) and annual budgets * Deliver production volume required to satisfy customer demand * Ensure critical defects and cost of poor quality are held to a minimum * Ensure capital investment projects are on time and within budget * Manage, coach, mentor, and train support for direct reports Minimum skills / qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or a related field * Fifteen (15) years of manufacturing operations leadership experience * Great communicator with effective organizational and planning skills * Ability to motivate and influence toward success * Excellent sense of trust and integrity * Ability to make urgent decisions and have discipline in the execution * Strategic mindset and adaptability to changes and challenges * Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel up to 75% Preferred skills / qualifications: * Master's degree in engineering, business administration or a related field * Prior experience in glass manufacturing * Prior experience in the packaging industry * Lean Six Sigma certification * Depth of expertise in sustainability, strengthened through appropriate training and qualifications * Proficient knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft applications * Can work independently and with teams when needed About Ardagh Group Ardagh Glass Packaging is a global leader in glass packaging solutions, producing packaging for the world's leading brands.
