About you and this role The Product Regulatory Services (PRS) group provides the regulatory leadership to clients (Dow businesses), JV partners and external customers by promoting and protecting their licenses to sell franchise products by managing compliance opportunities and risks. Currently we are looking for a Senior Regulatory Specialist for food and drinking water contact applications to join our team in the EU. The work location is flexible and can be discussed. Preferable locations: Germany, Belgium or the Netherlands. In this role you will provide interpretation and consulting services to the businesses, assistance to clients in completing regulatory submittals and reporting requirements, driving a portion of the business regulatory strategy etc. in the EMEAI. In addition, you will represent Dow in Trade Associations and potentially lead external networks within the value chain & authorities for advocacy. Responsibilities: * Assessment of the regulatory compliance of our products with assigned regulations and writing of compliance documents * Perform safety assessments and provide guidance on regulatory interpretations * File petitions at authorities and provide support at certification bodies * Tracking and assessing the impact of regulatory developments and communicate these to relevant businesses * Develop and deliver trainings on European food and drinking water contact regulations * Participate in internal cross-functional projects and issue management teams to provide regulatory support and guidance * Participate in relevant trade group committees and task forces to track regulatory developments and engage in advocacy activities at regulators * Drive and lead advocacy efforts externally and internally for high impact issues identified by the businesses and/or corporate EH&S teams * Support the Global Regulatory Services team in defining business/corporate strategy and sustainability goals using in-depth regional regulatory knowledge * Participate in integrated EH&S audits Qualifications: * Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field, preferably a Science degree * Minimum 2 years of relevant regulatory experience * Regulatory experiences in Food & Drinking Water contact applications * Regulatory experiences in Pharmaceutical or Food/Feed Additives is a plus * Fluency in English and preferably German, Dutch or French Skills, knowledge, and abilities: * Demonstrate skills to bring regulatory requirements to business needs * Ability to work in a globally diverse team and lead cross-functionality in a team-oriented project environment * Analytical skills combined with detail orientation * Demonstrated ability to exhibit mature technical skills, communication skills, IT skills and good judgment.
