This is a contract position. What You Will Do: This is a contract role for an agency Fastening Engineer at Our Client´s Motor Company in Dearborn, MI. The Fastening Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing fastening solutions for automotive components. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting analysis, and ensuring the quality and reliability of fastening systems in vehicle assembly. Basics: * Experience in fastening technologies, joining methods, materials, fastener design, testing, and implementation. * Knowledge of automotive engineering principles and materials. * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Effective communication and collaboration skills. * 2 or more years experience in Manufacturing Engineering. * Hybrid position. * Ability to work on-site in Dearborn, MI. * Travel required - outside of SE Michigan. Preferred: * Masters degree in Engineering. * Self-starting, self-motivated with very good influential, organizational, and communication skills. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to handle technical aspects of the position. * Familiarity with statistical software: Minitab, Q-DAS.
