Westfield Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following opening: JOB SUMMARY Generally, the shop assistant shall take directions from the aviation instructors and assist students with instruction and hands-on activities. Under the direction of the vocational teacher assist students' with hands on learning activities, including: * Following instructions. * Reading shop manuals and job specifications. * Interpreting schematic drawings. * Completion of shop assignments to trade standards. * Assist shop instructor to maintain safety procedures in shop environment. * Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and school committee policies. * Any other duties as assigned by the superintendent or his/her designee.
