What you'll do... Position: Software Engineer III Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 Duties: Work on building tools, dashboards, and services for the organization. Design and develop modules and REST based API services using languages like Java, Python, and SQL. Utilize agile methodologies. Write automated tests to ensure that these services and applications are developed with the highest quality. Collaborate with other engineering members within Walmart to provide Engineering and Operational Excellence capabilities. Use automation to deploy workloads to production in public cloud using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area. Skills required: Experience with at least one of the following Object Oriented Programming tools: Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python. Experience with architecture, tools and deployments in the hyper-scalers. Experience developing with Spring framework and Spring Boot.  Experience working with CI/CD pipelines. Experience writing unit and integration tests to check the correctness of services and applications developed. Experience designing and implementing REST API web services. Experience with data aggregation and search using log analyzers or search engines. Experience with at least one of the following NoSQL technologies: Cassandra, CosmosDB, or MongoDB. Experience with Oracle or MySQL relational databases. Experience with distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms. Experience analyzing and monitoring performance and alerts using at least one of the following performance monitoring tools: Appdynamics, New Relic, or Jmeter. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
