National Fuel has an immediate, full-time opening for a Field Operator/Compressor Operator in the Operations department at our Buffalo Station location in Washington, PA. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Operation, maintenance and routine repairs to gas compressors and natural gas power engines * Operate gas dehydration systems, odorizers, radios, flow controllers and pressure regulation equipment * Identify and react to abnormal operating conditions in compressor and pipeline facilities * Accurate documentation and record keeping of pressures, flows and temperatures on equipment * Follow all operating protocols, inspection requirements, maintenance tasks, and safety procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation of facilities. * Line locating, reading meters, patrolling, and other general maintenance MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid driver's license * Demonstrated mechanical ability * Excellent customer service/communication skills * Basic computer knowledge and literacy is required. Ability to read, legibly prepare written documentation and have the ability to accurately interpret and analyze written information * The physical capability to work outdoors in all types of weather also in and around hazards and difficult to reach areas * Available to work Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm * Candidates must live within a reasonable commute to the Buffalo Compressor Station location located at 169 Coffeys Crossing Rd, Washington, PA 15301 or be willing to relocate. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Knowledge of compressors, pumps, gauges, pneumatics, and hydraulics * Prior experience working as a Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic as well as experience with engine repair, installation and troubleshooting of pneumatic and electrical equipment. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This is a position within the Company's collective bargaining unit with a starting rate of pay of $35.94.
