Your role involves evaluating various types of properties, including residential, agricultural, industrial, commercial, and special purpose lands, for highway improvement projects. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Your responsibilities will include evaluating various properties for highway projects to ensure fair market value and timely completion. The focus is on ensuring that appraisals are conducted accurately to determine fair market value and just compensation for damages within specified timelines. Your responsibilities include conducting research on property ownership, easements, and other relevant information by examining courthouse records and deed descriptions. Additionally, visiting the property, interviewing owners, and gathering details such as depreciation, liens, mineral rights, and damages are essential to provide a comprehensive appraisal. Your position also requires determining appropriate valuation methods, documenting property improvements, and obtaining additional information to support appraisal reports. Furthermore, attending board of view hearings or court trials to provide testimony on the appraisal and estimated damages is part of your duties. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: * Full-time employment * Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. * Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville. * Salary: See salary ranges above for this position. Candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $58,035.00 (before taxes). * You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements: * This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Certified General Real Estate Appraiser certification. * This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
