We operate and maintain natural gas service for several Utilities and Cooperatives throughout Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. UPL offers a full range of services in the natural gas industry including engineering, installing, maintaining, and operating natural gas distribution systems, all upheld to the highest standards in the industry. Job Summary Utility Pipeline Ltd. (UPL) is seeking a Controller for our Canton, OH office. This individual will direct the organization's financial activities, financial planning, and accounting practices. This is a full-time position with benefits .Experience in the Utility industry is a plus. General Responsibilities Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, and insurance activities for the organization. Assists in leading and managing the accounting and finance department. Directs the company in providing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services. Prepares and reviews company monthly financial statements. Prepares all quarterly board meeting packages. Prepares and reviews all monthly billing code summaries to be entered into GL. Oversees and directs the preparation of the company's annual report. Monitors fiscal performance and looks for variances or trends. Arranges for audits of company accounts. Applies depreciation rates to capital assets. Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against potential liabilities. Establishes and maintains contacts with stockholders, financial institutions, and the investment community.
