Position summary: The Supply Planner is responsible for the distribution and coordination of finished goods from suppliers to the distribution center and are also responsible for WIP/component purchasing into manufacturing plants. Additionally, they will have a role in support of product development and sustainment project teams. Principal functional responsibilities: * Monitors and analyzes MRP system data to determine when replenishment orders need to be placed; processes and approves replenishment orders with approved suppliers; reviews the forecasts for finished good products to check the validity of the forecast * Expedites (pulls in) or pushes out delivery dates based on customer demand * Contacts vendors/suppliers to follow up on past-due purchase orders, finalize new estimated times of arrival, and ensure on-time delivery * Root causes stock outages and related issues; and provides reports to management for such occurrences with corrective action recommendations * Communicates with buyers on vendors concerns, overall performance, and other relevant information to ensure vendors are meeting requirements * Maintains the enterprise resource planning system regarding purchased items and supplier settings and with updated request dates for purchase orders which are past due or have been pushed out per agreement with suppliers * Analyzes critical parts and recommends appropriate safety stock levels * Supports product development teams * Aligns with company policies; work rules; safety requirements; quality standards; and applicable local, state, and federal legislation * Performs other related duties as needed and assigned Essential qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or equivalent work experience * Solid understanding of core supply chain management principles * Proficient user in MS applications, particularly MS Excel * Effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred qualifications: * 1- 3 years of experience in supply chain in a supply planner or replenishment role * Blue Yonder experience * Knowledge of procurement and supply planning processes * Analyzing and interpreting complex data and summarizing findings * Planning, organizational, and time management skills * Detail oriented ABOUT US BrassCraft Manufacturing Company: BrassCraft Manufacturing Company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality water and gas flow control products, plumbing service and repair parts for the new construction and repair/remodel markets.
