* Implements and coordinates safety program to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, and financial losses. * Identifies and appraises conditions which could produce accidents and financial losses and evaluates potential extent of injuries and losses resulting from accidents. * Conducts or directs activities to identify hazards and evaluate loss producing potential of given system, operation or process. * Develops accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization. * Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data related to exposure factors concerning occupational injuries, illness and accidents and prepares reports for information of personnel concerned. * Prepare and maintain safety related records and reports * Coordinates and performs regular safety meetings, safety training, and site visits around the West Texas area. * Conducts accident, incident and near miss investigations and reporting (root cause analysis). * Ensure compliance with government, industry, and customer-centric safety regulations. * Conduct employee placement, knowledge and practical exams related to the electrical utility industry. * Assist employees and management 24/7. Qualifications: * Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience and training in the electrical utility field. * Must possess strong knowledge of Federal and State work safety laws and regulations, OSHA Construction standards, Distribution Lines, Transmission Lines and Substations. * Must have OSHA 30 (less than 5 years old) OR OSHA 500 certificate, CPR/First Aid/AED certified Instructor, OR able to obtain within 90 days of employment. * Must pass a background and/or MVR check. * Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. * Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, training, organizational, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
