Actalent Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for an Engineering Technician opening with a company that serves the defense Industry that is located in York, PA. This person will be responsible for being part of the engineering team in a hands-on role to build prototypes, design test stands (using SolidWorks), test products and collect data. This includes supporting of all aspects of Product Development for manufacturing transitions, manufacturing tooling design for manufacturing process development. Below is a summary of responsibilities for this position: * Support engineering staff in the design, fabrication, and test of HVAC products. * Braze or solder thermal products and support hardware. * Install hardware, including Heli-coils, threaded inserts, pins, and screws. * Use initiative, imagination, and knowledge to assist with various assembly processes. * Assist in the design, development and qualification of production fixtures and tooling (using SolidWorks). * Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, when necessary. Below is a summary of requirements for qualified candidates: * Associates Degree from a technical school or minimum 3 of years of related experience * Experience in a production manufacturing environment * SolidWorks or other CAD experience is preferred * Ability to operate hand tools (drills, drivers, etc.) and basic shop tools (press, mill, lathe, etc.) * Metalworking such as machining, soldering, brazing, and welding * Hands-on fabrication and troubleshooting of assembly processes and test stands * Maintain an effective working pace to help the team complete projects on-time * Ability to stay flexible and easily redirect efforts in a fast paced manufacturing environment #LIJobs About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
