Job Title: Transmission Operations and Maintenance Engineer Job Description Reporting to the Director of Operations and Maintenance, the Transmission Operations and Maintenance Engineer provides crucial support in transmission operations and maintenance. This role involves developing procedures, completing analytical studies, assessing facility conditions, and offering equipment support. The Engineer will apply approved programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with transmission operating reliability requirements, interpret and advise on transmission maintenance issues, and may implement compliance programs for various NERC or PUCT reliability standards. Responsibilities extend to project management and engineering functions on special projects, collaborating to solve practical problems supporting transmission design, maintenance processes, and compliance programs. Additionally, the position includes developing training for transmission personnel and ensuring all record keeping and retention meets regulatory, internal, and other requirements. Hard Skills * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from ABET accredited curriculum * 2 - 5 years industry specific experience * EIT/FE (Certificate of Engineer in Training or Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) Required * Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft 365 Apps (e.g., Word, Excel, Teams etc.) Soft Skills * Excellent organizational and communications skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions * Mature self-starter * Service-oriented * Professional in conduct and attitude Job Type This is a permanent position. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in McAllen, Texas. Work Environment Works in outdoor and office conditions. May be required to provide technical support for field technician related to maintenance and restoration activities and may supervise maintenance and construction projects.
