Type:Per-DiemSalary/Pay Rate:$31.00/hrPosted Date:01/10/2023 10:57 AM OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT Per-Diem, Hours Based on Course Instructor of the EMT program and courses Essential Functions * Incumbent is responsible for the delivery of course offerings in the EMT program at the Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy. * Position must administer the policies and procedures established by the Board of Commissioners, County Administrator, and the Director of the Emergency Services Training Academy. * Position must function under the guidelines established by the laws of the State of New Jersey and the rules and specifications required by various State and Federal agencies. * The key challenges facing the incumbent are maintaining a thorough understanding of current information related to the instructional courses offered at ESTA and presenting these courses in compliance with County, State and Federal regulations and policies. * This position reports to the EMT Program Coordinator and the Deputy Director of the Academy. Essential Qualifications * Incumbent must be at least 21 years of age. * Minimum of 3 years' experience as an EMT. * Possess a valid NJ EMT card. * Must possess a valid CPR card. * Must possess a valid EMT Instructor card issued by NJ OEMS and have the endorsement of the EMT Program Coordinator. * Incumbent must present at minimum a 15-minute presentation to the selection committee. * Upon acceptance of application and successful evaluation by the selection committee, the candidate shall assume the duties of an EMT Instructor.
