The Senior Market Research Analyst is responsible for developing, validating, and socializing market sizing, customer profiles, and opportunity analysis models for all strategic product lines. These data models are a major contributor to developing Product, Market, and Finance strategies for the Company. The Senior Market Research Analyst uses primary and secondary research leading to data modeling techniques, allowing senior decision makers to be presented with a robust understanding of market opportunity, solution penetration, relative share, revenue forecasts, market inhibitors, and greenfield opportunities. The Senior Market Research Analyst must be proficient in building segmentation and ideal customer profiles (ICP) using demographic, firmographic, geographic, attitudinal, and behavioral data sources. Using these segmentation profiles as well as competitive and industry data, the Senior Market Research Analyst then develops market Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM) and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) estimates using both Top Down, Supply-Side and Bottoms Up Market Sizing techniques. Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions: * Works closely with the Market Research team to develop research objectives, plan methodologies and write survey questionnaires to assist our internal clients in achieving their research goals * Programs, distributes and monitors the successful completion of surveys using the online survey tool Qualtrics * Utilizes statistical methods and tools to analyze quantitative and qualitative survey data while ensuring the utmost data integrity and accuracy * Leverages primary and secondary competitive research to guide Sales, Product Management, and Marketing leadership * Collaborates cross-functionally, in the development and automation of Customer Experience surveys * Creates research reports, presentations and [Customer] CX dashboards from survey data that tells a story to help drive strategy and planning * Presents research findings and recommendations to internal clients in varying positions and departments throughout the company * Gather, analyze and interpret secondary research related to automotive retail market conditions, consumer shopping behavior and industry best practices. * Support the team in the development of content marketing and thought leadership pieces Required Qualifications and Attributes: * Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Applied Research, Data Science, Statistics, Market Research or Related * 5+ years market analyst experience with 2+ years in market research leveraging experience management software (i.e.: Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey) * Demonstrated expertise in modeling, analyzing and manipulating data into coherent narratives and insights * Excellent command of data visualization techniques and using data to surface insights and tell an understandable and compelling story * Demonstrate creative and resourceful research and problem-solving abilities * Comfortable in collecting, managing and integrating structured and unstructured data * Working knowledge of Python Preferred Qualifications: * Master's or Advanced Degree in Economics, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Applied Research, Data Science, Statistics, Market Research or Related Base Salary Ranges: $89,000 - $115,000 CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
