Full Time
Monday- Friday| 8:00AM-4:30PM| Days and Hours Will Vary Depending on Business Needs
$26.85 Hourly
This position can be location in the counties of Choctaw, Latimer, Le Flore, Haskell, or McCurtain County.
Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Game Warden, you will enforce the laws to regulate fishing, hunting, and to protect wildlife on Choctaw Nation lands. You will report to the Game Warden Lieutenant.
Primary Tasks:
1. Investigate reports of violations.
2. Complete reports, make arrests, serve warrants, logs evidence with the CNO, and arrange the disposition of confiscated fish and game.
3. Coordinate with other State, Tribal and Local law enforcement agencies.
4. Assist sportsmen, citizens and others on hunting and fishing areas and interpret wildlife laws and regulations.
5. Patrol CNO properties.
6. Conducts conservation programs for groups or special projects requiring public speaking and presentations in a professional manner on wildlife conservations subjects.
7. Maintains reports, casework, a log of daily activity, and maintains all assigned equipment in good working order including vehicles, boats, ATVs, UTVs and hunting and fishing equipment.
8. Render CPR and first aid to any citizen in need.
9. Assists the CNO Wildlife Department and CNPS as needed.
10. You will perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
* Minimum of two [2] years of law enforcement experience
* At least of 21 years of age.
* Able to be CLEET Certified
* Must be medically fit and able to perform all the essential functions of a law enforcement officer and pass a physical fitness test.
* Must possess a valid state driver's license.
* Basic computer skills to enable report writing, composition or correspondence, Internet, and email.
* Ability to reason and react calmly and quickly in emergency and life-threatening situations.
* Able to qualify yearly with department firearms.
