Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: * The incumbent interacts with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), the Chemical and Biological Defense Programs (CBDP), Analysis and Integration Office, and other CBDP components to develop, recommend, and execute CBDP fiscal policy and procedures. * Performs a wide range of technical, administrative, and analytical duties connected with the formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review of the Agency appropriations (Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, Defense-Wide (RDT&E)). * Assists the CBD Resource Director with strategic budgetary planning and execution. Conducts and supports financial analyses to support the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological and DASD(CBD) decisions and management of the Program, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution process. * Prepares and reviews major reports or policies of the organization for internal and external distribution. Provides solutions to broad organizational issues. Ensures a cooperative teamwork environment. * Leads/guides workforce in achieving organizational goals. * Participates on high-level teams. * Conducts briefings on financial management related subjects at all echelons of the Department of Defense. * The incumbent takes all necessary steps to respond to inquiries and marks from Congressional committees. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
