Job Title: Construction Materials Technician / Special Inspector Job Description Join an emerging engineering firm in the NC marketplace as a construction materials technician / special inspector. This position offers an opportunity for civil engineers, geotechnical, or construction services professionals to help build their career and contribute to the growth of our triad office. The role involves visiting job sites and construction sites to gather samples of different soils and concrete. This may include testing some of these materials in the field or taking them back to the office/laboratory for further analysis. Duties also include field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, aggregates, and asphalt. ACI and ICC certifications are a plus but not required. Hard Skills * ACI Certification * Soil Inspections * Concrete Inspections Work Site This is a field position requiring some days on-site in Greensboro, North Carolina and some days travel. Work Environment For the initial months, you will be accompanied by a team member to job sites until you are up to speed, after which you will be given a company truck for your assignments. A significant part of the work is outdoors or involves driving to the shop/next job site. Job sites typically include construction sites at the start of their building process.
