Job Overview The position serves as a member of a team supporting the Engineering and Project Management Division (EPMD) at HQ AMC CIO/G-6. The EPMD provides the technical expertise for robust, high-quality, agile, and cost-effective solutions in Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Technology (C4IT) to enhance AMC net-centric logistics enterprise. The EPMD develops and enforces policies and standards for information technology (IT); identifies where and how technology can systematically support the business processes of AMC's Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs)/Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs), Separate Reporting Activities (SRAs), and HQ operations. The EPMD assesses information technologies to determine feasibility to AMC programs; and promotes the compatibility and interoperability of computer and communications systems throughout the AMC enterprise. A wide range of support services include information technologies, architecture development, systems integration, engineering, and emerging technologies. Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Serves as the technical Lead for AMC Migration Management Team providing support for requirements gathering and technical assessments for Cloud Solution Offerings and Application Migration Readiness. Serves as the Enterprise Architect (architecture mapping and analysis, solution research and design, architecture documentation, data and integration modeling) Provides engineering support to the AMC CIO/G-6 Capabilities Management Division for the technical analysis and evaluation AMC applications/systems for application migration, portfolio management and rationalization, data center consolidation and closure, application cloud readiness. Provides engineering support to the AMC CIO/G-6 Business Management Division for the technical analysis and evaluation of Cost Business Analysis for AMC applications migration to the cloud. Provides technical review and analysis of CONOPS, OPRORDs, and other technical documents for comment review and situational awareness for command equities. Assists in the AMC Data Center Consolidation, Application Rationalization and Application Cloud migration support. Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in information technology OR four (4) years of related experience in lieu of degree Ten (10) years' experience working in the Information Technology career field. Intermediate to expert level user of Microsoft Excel. Ability to successfully pass any employment background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. Current DOD Secret Security Clearance.
