We are seeking a Summer Wealth Management Intern for our fee-based financial planning and wealth management division with locations across Virginia and Maryland. PBMares Wealth Management is a full-service provider specializing in customized investment management and financial planning for high net worth individuals, retirement plans, not-for-profit organizations, endowments, corporations and institutions. This intern will learn the basics of working for an RIA under the tutelage of Certified Financial Planners in our Fairfax, VA office. * Creating investment portfolio presentations; work on Investment Policy Statements * Learning to use the portfolio management system for clients? investment accounts; track performance, evaluate for rebalancing; suggest rebalancing strategies * Data entry and analysis into financial planning or investment management software * Managing the paperless office system (i.e., scanning, shredding, appropriate handling) * Learning to use the client data management system for updating client accounts * Other responsibilities (i.e., Excel, research, tax planning, cost basis research, mutual fund analysis, investment research, compliance, firm performance metrics, software research, etc.)
