The Club Sports Coordinator position in the Competitive Club Sports unit is responsible for assisting with the operations of the Club Sports program including event management and club sports officer training and development. The coordinator assists with ensuring and managing compliance with university and program policies and procedures. This position assists with developing and implementing risk management plans as well as recruiting, hiring, training, supervising and evaluating a diverse staff of students. Variable work schedule. Evening and weekend work required. Education and Experience * Bachelor's required; Master's preferred in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field. Skills and Knowledge * Experience working in college/university recreation club sports programs. Responsibilities * Assists with managing daily operations of Club Sports program. * Provides onsite supervision of club practices and competitions evenings and weekends. * Through regular visitations and audits, position evaluates and monitors risk management and policy compliance for club activities. * Assists with developing and conducting required semester trainings for club officers, participants and coaches. * Assists with organizational meetings for new clubs. Assists with resolving sportsmanship issues and violations of program policies. * Assists with managing Athletic training coverage for practices and competitions, and concussion protocols. * Recruits, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates a diverse staff of students in Club Sports. * Leads area staff meetings and responsible for student staff scheduling. * Assists with evaluating effectiveness of programs on an ongoing basis, using appropriate assessment tools, such as surveys, and program evaluations. * Other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Not Applicable Tools/Equipment Not Applicable Application Instructions In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.
