THE JOB: The primary role of the Runner Writer is to assist guests with participating in keno games and placing bets on horse racing and sporting events worldwide. All tasks must be carried out in accordance with departmental property policies, practices, and procedures. STARTING RATE: $17 an hour THE DAY-TO-DAY: * Write and cash tickets in compliance with departmental policies and ensure adherence to Title 31 regulations. * Maintain and balance the cash drawer accurately. * Use your sports knowledge to assist guests in placing bets on all racing and sporting events. * Provide guidance to guests on how to play Keno and place wagers. * Monitor and report any suspicious activity to the supervisor. * Preform other job-duties as requested. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays. * High school diploma, GED or equivalent. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests. * Proven experience in cash handling and maintaining balanced cash drawers. * Strong knowledge of sports, horse racing, and betting practices. * Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately write and cash tickets.
