Job Summary Under the leadership of the Executive Director of Workforce Solutions of Providence/Cranston (WSPC) and supervision of the Director of Operations, the Program Coordinator oversees the WIOA Title I Youth program, provides support to the Title I Adult and Dislocated Worker programs, provides business services to employers, oversees any additional programs granted to the department, assists with coordinating partner services at the Providence American Job Center (AJC), and performs additional program support duties, as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Director of Operations. Duties & Responsibilities * Directs the daily activities and operation of the WIOA Title I youth program. * Oversees compliance with youth contractor agreements/contract requirements and provides technical assistance to youth providers as needed. * Assists with the development of program contracts and initial budgets. * Provides program support to contracted providers. * Establish relationships with businesses in the local area that are willing to provide work experiences, training, and employment opportunities or who need employer services. * Provides business services to employers, including developing On-the-Job (OJT) contracts. * Provides direction to the WIOA Title I staff in cooperation with the Department Director of Operations. * Ensures compliance with all program guidelines and integration into the overall delivery system. * Interprets and communicates regulations, policies and procedures to staff and providers and provides technical assistance, as needed. * Analyzes processes, programs, and data to identify inefficiencies and come up with solutions to accomplish the goals of WSPC. * Assists with partner and employer coordination in the AJC. * Assist in making presentations to community organizations, agencies, businesses or other organizations regarding WSPC programs and the American Job Center. * Works with the Compliance Specialist developing any corrective action needed based on monitoring vistas and reports. * Works with the Fiscal Manager and Administrative Assistant to ensure appropriate management of resources and program compliance. Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of stakeholders to achieve goals set forth by the Providence/Cranston Workforce Development Board. Ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to function proactively to identify and solve issues. Ability to supervise the work of others. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with in-house staff, outside venders, and providers and public/private businesses. Strong time management, organization, and documentation skills. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in social services, public administration business or related field preferred. * Five years working experience in social work, employment and training programs, or youth programs can be substituted for a bachelor's degree. * Knowledge of federal and state laws governing the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. * Experience in working with community and educational organizations. * Ability to communicate orally and in writing, with diverse individuals and groups. * Knowledge of computer programs, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Asana, and EmployRI. * Bi-lingual preferred Posting expires when filled.
