Role Summary: This key transformational role is a part of Engineering leadership team. This role owns the design and development of specialty lines for Geico. We are looking for a proven people leader who is technically strong with full stack application/platform architecture, experience leading new technical initiatives and consumer facing products/platforms are highly desired. Organization Overview: GEICO is on a multi-year journey to re-platform the Insurance industry, removing friction across Customers, Partners, Marketplace, Segments, Channels, and Experiences. The Specialty lines Engineering teams support our systems and end-to-end product engineering efforts in conjunction with our product and business partners for our specialty products. This is part of the broader Digital Engineering organization that includes other line of business teams, core experience platforms and frameworks, as well as the overall digital transformation. In this role you will: * Develop and own relationships with a diverse set of cross-functional partners, including engineering peers, business operations, communications, governance teams, and executives. * Grow the team over the coming year by evaluating existing talent structures, advocating for additional resourcing and hiring into new open positions. * Clearly and concisely present your vision and strategic recommendations to stakeholders having varying degrees of tech fluency. * Manage and prioritize requests from partners and set realistic expectations. Transparently communicate updates on priority projects on a regular basis. * Build a culture of engineering excellence and best practices * Enhance the team's abilities to report on performance, focus on impact, and provide transparency about critical workstreams. * Be a creative and innovative problem solver, comfortable with helping partners think and solve difficult business challenges. Annual Salary $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
