No Duties and Responsibilities * Assists lead and assistant teachers in all classrooms in all aspect of programming for children two to five years of age. * Responsible for the safety and well-being of children in the program as well as communication with parents. * Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Associates or bachelors degree in early childhood education or related field with a minimum of six credit hours of early childhood education and/or development as well as one year of experience working with young children. Qualifications * Must have the ability to keep children safe at all times including while in the classroom, transitions to and from the classroom, and any outdoor activities. * Ability to work well with others, especially young children and their parents. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Good problem solving skills. Certificates/Credentials/Licenses Must meet DCFS minimums for an Early Childhood Teacher. AA preferred. Computer Skills Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office.
