Key Responsibilities: Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Regulatory & Nutrition Specialist to support the R&D team to ensure the company's goals and initiatives are met. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance of ingredients, assisting with specification writing, managing kosher, organic, non-gmo and other certifications for several beverage brands within TBG's portfolio, playing a pivotal role in the innovation and launch process. You will have the opportunity to interact regularly with other functions including but not limited to product development, marketing, global procurement, food safety and quality. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position is hybrid based in Chicago, IL with flexible days in office. Conveniently located close to Chicago's Union station in the Old Post Office. Additional Responsibilities: * The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory and nutrition support to TBG's brands including Tropicana, Naked Juice, KeVita, IZZE, and Dole * Reviewing and approving product specifications * Collaborating with suppliers to obtain ingredient information, including certification documentation * Managing kosher, organic, non-gmo, and other certifications along with annual renewals * Assisting the department with ad-hoc presentation development and meeting preparation * Supporting the PLM team with PLM systems process development and data management * Tracking and reporting on projects and metrics The position will require an ability to learn and understand the application of US Food and Drug Administration and Health Canada regulations. As a Regulatory and Nutrition Specialist, you must be able to think strategically as well as independently monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with US and Canadian regulations today and into the future. Technical savvy and expertise with product specification and life-cycle management systems are critical to success in this detail-oriented regulatory compliance and nutrition role. As part of an entrepreneurial culture, the ideal candidate will possess an ownership mindset and a focus on the consumer. Comfort with ambiguity, a focus on agility, and appropriate risk-taking is a must. Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills required. Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Food Science, or Science-related equivalent * Registered dietitian nutritionist is preferred * 0-3 years regulatory and/or nutrition experience, with an interest in learning FDA and Health Canada food and beverage regulations * Knowledge of Organic, Kosher, and Non-GMO Project Verified certifications * An understanding of GMO and bioengineering regulation in the U.S. and Canada * Excellent computer skills and attention to detail * Strong communication and organizational skills * Strong collaborating skills * Ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple tasks and work independently * Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meet aggressive timelines * Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Adobe, SAP-PLM including working in product specification, regulatory and/or product lifecycle management software * English required Benefits Overview: TBG is pleased to offer you a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, company provided life, STD and LTD insurance.
