To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page. ______________________________________________________________________ Position Overview: The Senior Market Research Analyst is responsible for monitoring existing and future competitors, industry trends, new enabling technologies and purchasing behavior trends to develop innovative solutions to solve business challenges. You will conduct all phases of primary and secondary research (i.e., researches, analyzes and reports on data - both quantitative and qualitative data), providing strategic, actionable input into DigiKey's business. They will serve as a trusted advisor and partner across the company guiding business decisions to drive profitable grown and loyalty with our customers through market-leading innovation. Through a thorough understanding of the business problem, coupled with a concrete understanding of the business decision, they will design and implement primary marketing research. They will analyze the findings, synthesize the learning with secondary data, and generate insights and recommendations to effectively answer the business questions to inform marketing strategy and campaigns. You bring with you the ability to understand the market and business context, utilize multi-source synthesis of all relevant information / data, to tell a compelling story that leads to specific business recommendations - presenting findings to all levels of management, desiring to be more than a research provider but a thought partner & contributor. You have a passion for developing methodologies, strategies and recommendations for conducting research effectively and efficiently as well as ensuring usability of the information. You enjoy learning about the organization's various businesses and research needs and reflect this business knowledge in your communications (e.g., presentations, reports). This is a hybrid role, some onsite attendance may be required. Responsibilities: * Ideate and develop advanced analytics using appropriate BI tools and resources (SQL, Microstrategy, etc) * Develops benchmarking and monitoring parameters to show the return on investment and provide feedback loop for digital marketing teams * Analyze internal and external data to determine the best methods of increasing both revenue and market share. * Lead cross-functional collaboration * Measure effectiveness of marketing programs. Ensure programs support growth * Collect data on consumers, competitors and marketplace and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations at an elevated level * Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers' preferences * Compile and analyze advanced statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect them * Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations * Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases * Provide competitive analysis on various companies' market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation * Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices * Articulate and present research and findings to a variety of audiences including executive level audiences * Onboard & mentor new and existing researchers * Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience * Proficiency managing research projects from inception to completion (on the corporate-side or research agency-side) * Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a gift for simplifying complex analysis to deliver the WIM at an executive level and non-research audiences * Intellectually curious and passionate for delivering compelling insights that make a difference * In-depth quantitative and qualitative primary market research design and execution expertise * Strong business acumen and a knack for identifying the "signal from the noise," pinpointing findings that are of greatest significance to our cross-functional partners * Passionate and skilled in analyzing disparate data (including customer surveys), synthesizing information to find the 'story', visualizing data, and telling data stories that inspire action * Ability to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to drive research efforts and actions from those efforts forward * Aptitude and willingness to quickly learn new skills and information * Innovative self-starter * Experience and proficiency with MS Office; including proficiency with building PowerPoint reports * • Experience with advanced analytical methods (e.g. MaxDiff, Conjoint, Key Driver Analysis, Correspondence maps, etc.) * Experience working with survey software and analytical tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, SPSS, SAS, Tableau) Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics or Related Field * Expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative research methodologies * Strong statistical analysis skills and familiarity with statistical packages used for analysis * Demonstrated ability to visualize and present rich research data simply and clearly * Experience presenting to executive level audiences * Experience mentoring and directing the work of other researchers * Programming aptitude * International experience * Electronics Distribution industry experience Physical Requirements: * Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen * Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body DigiKey Electronics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
