Therefore, we invite applicants from all group dynamics to apply to our exciting career opportunities Qualifications * Education: BS in Exercise Physiology or exercise related field, required. * Experience: One year rehabilitation experience as an Exercise Physiologist, preferred. * Licensure/Certification: Progressing toward a ACSM exercise related certification within 1 yr (Certification Agreement signed upon hire), required. * Additional Skills (preferred): * Practical and theoretical knowledge of all phases of routine and critical cardiac and respiratory care, with an emphasis on adult, chronic disease management. * Abilities to perform decisively in critical situations and to incorporate many types of data. * Has the knowledge, skills and ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. * Has the ability to supervise exercise, monitor patients during exercise, and modify exercise prescriptions for cardio-pulmonary patients, in conjunction with registered nurses and/or physician as needed. * Has effective communication and interpersonal skills to relate to patients, families, nurses, physicians and other department and hospital staff. * Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
