Location: Shelby - Shelby Township, MI, United States (US) Employment Status: Salary Full-Time Function: Manufacturing Hiring Manager: Jeff Cicala Recruiter: Lawanda Russell AGV Systems Business Unit Manager - AGV Business Unit Job Summary Candidate will work out of Fori's Shelby Twp. Michigan facility and will report to the CFO. Job Duties and Respnsibilities Candidate must demonstrate the following to be considered: * Train/mentor his staff and create/implement strategies to reach both companywide goals and project level targets. * Multitask effectively by managing a wide range of duties and responsibilities while at the same time supervising those who report to them. * Interpret policies and procedures, model them and hold others accountable for following them consistently. * Meet weekly with manufacturing team on capacity plan, accurately reporting manning needs by project, procuring resources as needed and reduce hours/offer vacations as required based on the backlog. * Develop, present and implement strategies to enhance the Business Unit. Once the Business Unit goals (Both Business Unit & Project Level) are established and agreed upon by all stakeholders, the Business Unit Manager must actively Cascade & Monitor those goals to ensure that progress is made and the goals are on track to reach the desired outcome by the set deadline (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Human and Technology). * Effectively communicate expectation levels and vision of the company to staff members, motivate, encourage and train staff in a manner that results in high performance and general growth of the company. In addition, the Business Unit Manager must be able to effectively mentor staff members to help them achieve the desired outcomes (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Human and Technology). * Strategize in various situations with Sales to achieve the desired performance outcomes. * Both well-organized and analytical, successful Business Unit Managers are able to envision and work toward the "big picture" while still keeping their day-to-day objectives at the forefront. They are able to present goals and motivate others to meet those goals at a high level of performance. Overall, Business Unit Managers are seasoned leaders who can orchestrate successful outcomes on a consistent basis. Core skills: * Fostering cooperation among individuals and departments in the areas of sharing resources and information and working together to accomplish group goals. * Exhibiting effective listening skills and superb communication skills. Actively seek feedback, receive it in a non-defensive manner and feedback to the team with professionalism (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Human - "Shadow of the Leader"). * Understanding and meeting the needs of all customers as well as addressing the concerns of organization stakeholders. * Establishing and modeling high standards of performance while encouraging and empowering subordinates to emulate them. * Offering opportunities and support to all subordinates to help them improve their professional competencies. Education and Experience * Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve high standards and accomplish set outcomes for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Human and Technology. * Experience specific to Industrial Automation is a must. Experience relevant to Fori's product portfolio desired but not a must. * Manufacturing leadership roles at a plant or multi-plant level. * Proven technical track record in various roles throughout your career. * Six to eight years work-related experience related to P&L responsibility is desired. * The prospective candidate should understand the basic tactical requirements to run the Business Unit.
