This position will assist the supervisor with the coordination of information processes to meet the needs of the facility.
* Recommend changes to provide for maximum reimbursement of services provided to clients to supervisor;
* Coordinate standards for consistent record keeping and process improvement with supervisor;
* Create and maintain documentation manuals based upon approved policies and practices of the SCC;
* Review office practices and make recommendations to supervisor;
* Provide training for incoming staff regarding office practices;
* Maintain records and appointment schedules according to established policy to ensure accuracy, security, privacy and confidentiality;
* Refer to state and federal regulations pertaining to proper retention and destructions of records data and provide data to supervisor for yearly maintenance and destruction of records;
* Organize and store data in an easily retrievable forms in both digital/data and paper copy according to state and federal mandate;
* Ensure accuracy and completion of documentation of services provided to ensure reimbursement of services;
* Ensure proper documentation exists to support the medical/clinical necessity of billable services;
* Ensure each work-station within the center has up-to-date forms and processes consistent with center policy and best practices
Position requires:
* Strong administrative and office skills
* Experience with standard office software, especially databases and calendar/scheduling software
* Knowledge of bookkeeping and/or billing
* Strong customer service skills
* Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
* Ability to work effectively with diverse people
* Ability to handle stressful situations
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
* Ability to maintain accurate records and files, both manual and electronic
* Ability to work independently
