Your Job Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Outage Planner/Maintenance Scheduler to support our Halsey maintenance and operations team in Halsey, OR. This position will work closely with area operations and maintenance supervision including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and engineering to provide effective scheduling, review of maintenance and operational outages, as well as daily and weekly maintenance schedules. This individual will also teach and mentor others to raise the overall quality and effectiveness of work order planning. What You Will Do * Prepare preliminary schedules (2-4 Weeks out) with routine repetitive jobs including Annual Outages, Cold Mill Outages, and Cycle Outages * Perform schedule modifications as approved by area gatekeepers as applicable * Finalize weekly work schedule following Mill Spend Evaluation * Help develop the Cold Mill Outage coordination plan (T-365 plan to prepare for turnaround) * Help develop T- outage plan for Converting Department * Update time allocations for Maintenance Crews * Develop and support outage planners * Achieve safety and environmental performance goals for outages * Administer the scope collection to include a well-managed cutoff date and Scope Freeze that allows adequate time for detailed planning * Review of cancelled work or other work that needs to be rescheduled * Communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to key Operations and Maintenance resources * Drive a singular integrated schedule for outages * Oversee the implementation of a quality contracted work package process * Provide regular updates on outage planning progress to team * Vet all submittals after the Scope Freeze date with the team. Utilize established risk matrix to ensure no unnecessary work is added * Build a robust Quality of Work program to deliver an event-free, one-time start-up Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * 1+ years of executing turnarounds in a petrochemical, power or industrial manufacturing facility * Demonstrated knowledge and capability in maintenance planning and scheduling * Demonstrated capability using a CMMS system * Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, specifically MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Project, and MS Excel What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Construction Management, or related Program. * Extensive knowledge of turnaround work & execution for all craft types utilized in a heavy industrial (e.g. petrochemical) facility * Knowledge of procurement, contracts, and engineering associated with Turnarounds * Specific knowledge of SAP and scheduling applications (P6, MS Project) are a plus #LI-AG4 At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
