Job Details Job Location: Holiday Inn Conference Center Marshfield - Marshfield, WI Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 Salary/year Description JOB TITLE: SALES & MARKETING MANAGER USUAL TIME OF WORK SHIFT: Varies with facility needs. Full-time positions, 40-50 hours per week. BREAKS: Two breaks, and one ½ hour lunch. OVERTIME: As necessary MACHINES USED: General office machines, tools, and equipment, 9-15 passenger automatic transmission-equipped van. TOOLS USED: General clerical office tools and related items ASSISTIVE DEVICES: Wheeled Pushcarts SAFETY CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT: N/A. Professional Front Office Attire Major Function: The Property Sales Manager will report directly to the General Manager. The Property Sales Manager's primary duty is developing and generating outside sales. Each Property Sales Manager will be required to spend at least 50% of their time out of the office selling, prospecting, making sales calls and doing sales related activity. They will also be responsible for assisting with the increase of Gross Room Sales, Occupancy, and RevPAR at the hotel. Qualifications: This position requires an individual who is highly organized, detailed oriented and has the ability to multi-task. It requires strong interpersonal skills, strong communications skills and requires them to work to support the overall goals of the company and property as directed by General Manager. They must also have the ability to communicate effectively with all hotel departments, and related personnel. Major Functions: 1. Direct property sales. 2. Develops new business. 3. Ensures that action plans and programs are developed. 4. Assists in revenue management. 5. Assists in establishing both market and customer target strategies. 6. Develops and executes advertising and trade shows as necessary. 7. Conducts sales calls; schedules promotional work and tracks sales activities. 8. Organizes / Negotiates / Quotes rates for Groups / Corporate business. 9. Prepares proposals and/or contracts. 10. Conducts property tours and explains accommodations, amenities, and general company information. 11. Attends area events and meetings to promote hotel. 12. Demonstrate ability to be flexible and personable. 13. Must be attentive to details and be able to work independently while following TVGI guidelines, policies and procedures. 14. Minimal out-of-town travel will be required. 15. Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times. 16. Acknowledges and greets customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. 17. Uses guests' names in all interactions. 18. Promptly responds to all guest/client related concerns, including but not limited to complaints and special requests. 19. Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures. 20. Proper business attire must be worn at all times in accordance with The Victus Group,Inc. and brand standards. 21. Personal cleanliness and neat appearance is mandatory. 22. Practices and applies safety standards at all times. 23. The Property Sales Manager may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. 24. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may from time to time be established by The Victus Group, Inc., is essential to the successful performance of this position. 25. Participates in monthly GSR Meetings. 26. Promotes and practices teamwork and employee morale. 27. Strives to achieve or exceed budgeted occupancy by nurturing guests, repeat business and through regular marketing and sales activity communication. 28. Promotes, practices, and nurtures a strong working relationship with all corporate departments, including but not limited to Accounting, Purchasing, Payroll, and Sales & Marketing. Employee must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook. Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned, of which the employee is capable. Qualifications 1. Strong Customer Service Skills 2..
