Basic information Job Name: Compensation Analyst Location: Washington, DC Line of Business: Human Capital Management Job Function: Investor Services Date: Wednesday, July 24, 2024 Position Summary Position Summary: This position is a technical, compensation specialist role that will be responsible for supporting and enhancing global compensation benchmarking and analysis across all segments and compensation plans. This position functions as the in-house, subject matter expert that will support implementation and administration of existing and new compensation programs, policies, procedures, in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices that support organizational objectives. This role will be responsible for conducting impact analysis of any proposed changes, creating summary metrics and statistical reports. Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities: Market Data & Analysis * Runs the global salary survey participation process for Investment Professional, Investor Relations, and Investor Services positions, including submitting data to benchmarking studies and preparing results and analyses * Creates and maintains internal benchmarking templates to accommodate different department and segment needs, developing new techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data * Creates and maintains various compensation ranges guidelines * Partners with Human Resources Business Partners on a variety of compensation and benchmarking related analysis and requests * Partners with Recruiting team to keep apprised of changes in the external market * Partners with Equity team to on any long-term incentives benchmarking Overall Compensation Management * Runs impact analysis of any proposed compensation changes, creating summary metrics and statistical reports * Works as part of the overall HCM team to ensure successful mid- and year-end compensation processes * Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as assigned Qualifications Requirements: Education & Certificates * Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related field * CCP, or coursework towards CCP preferred Professional Experience * 2 - 4 years of Compensation experience required * Financial services industry experience preferred Competencies & Attributes * Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive and confidential data * Exhibits excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and detail-orientation * High degree of proficiency in Excel and other MS Office Products * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to deal with all levels of employees and management * Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team * Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines and to adapt to a continually changing and fast-paced financial company Benefits/Compensation The compensation range for this role is specific to DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $115,000. In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
