The Tippie College of Business is looking for a Web Editor to join the Collegiate Marketing & Communications Team. This full-time position will report to the Sr. Manager of Web Strategy. Typical responsibilities will include regular maintenance, monitoring, and updates of Tippie websites as well as bulk email sends for various constituencies at the college. A tech-savvy background in building web pages, online forms, using content management systems, documenting processes, and managing online content is preferred. Specific Job Duties and Tasks * Review pre-defined website specifications to complete associated tasks. * Review and write documentation as needed. * Develop web pages and forms in Drupal & WordPress content management systems. * May write page script or use vendor tools to create scripts, configure forms, or reports. * Check websites for defects. Identify malfunctioning areas and propose fixes. * Create and execute test plans to ensure website functionality. * Knowledge of project management concepts. * Participate in projects and report on project status. This position is eligible for remote work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. To obtain the full job description including key areas of responsibility, technical competencies, and desirable qualifications, please contact joshua-gulick@uiowa.edu Salary: $56,645-$75,000 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education Requirement * Bachelor's degree in a field related to website development/support or an equivalent combination of education and related website development/support experience. Required Qualifications * Experience in the development and/or support of websites used by non-technical customers to support and enhance workflow processes, typically 3 years of experience for a Web Editor role. * Experience contributing to a website implementation cycle through areas such as technical design, workflow analysis, build, training, implementation, testing, and support. * Experience working with content owners and/or vendors to define website requirements, integration requirements, and understand business needs. * Demonstrated experience working with end-users to define website requirements, understand business needs and convert business requirements into functional/technical specifications for website/web page build. * Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management. * Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff. * Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. Desired Qualifications * Experience with Drupal content management system. * Experience with CSS. * Experience with WordPress implementation and management. * Experience with batch email sending for email marketing campaigns. * Experience working in marketing and communications environments, specifically maintaining brand standards online.
