Responsibilities
* Candidate must be able to learn, teach, and become an expert in the Business Model Canvas. Additionally, they must be able to guide business owners in utilizing the Business Model Canvas in their business.
* Help business owners find solutions to common problems in running a company
* Ability and willingness to work up to 20+ hours a week depending on program needs. Some evenings may be required, as well as occasional travel.
* Attend and assist as needed at all appropriate JMI events and programs in Tallahassee.
* May be asked to do occasional outreach on behalf of the Jim Moran Institute.
* Be a professional who understands and personifies the mission of the Jim Moran Institute:
The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship cultivates, trains and inspires entrepreneurial leaders through world-class executive education, applied training, public recognition and leading-edge research.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Experience owning and growing a business, dealing with the challenges involved, and experience working with business owners and stakeholders.
* Must have a strong sense of business owners' common challenges in running their companies.
* A problem solver and creative thinker who can recognize problems and help others find solutions.
* Ability to maintain consistent and positive communication with supervisor.
* Excellent communication skills, including active listening, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate a message in person and/or via conference call.
* Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
* Presentation skills and facilitation experience are a plus.
* The hired candidate may not do business with Jim Moran Institute clients and must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement.
* High school diploma or equivalency and four years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.
