While working closely with research personnel, participates actively in a structured learning experience in the laboratory or clinical research setting. Gains hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis and/or other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research. Responsibilities: * Under direct supervision, student may conduct research in the laboratories and/or clinical setting * Under direct supervision, student may perform data collection and analysis. * Other duties as assigned. Education: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Must be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student. * This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for an undergraduate degree/diploma. * This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Languages: Certifications: * NA Complexity of Work: * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Work Experience: * None required. * Students with previous research laboratory experience are often preferred. Physical Requirements: * Normal physical requirements include good near visual acuity and color acuity.
