The HR Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive HR management, advisory, and consultancy services to staff and management of clients. This individual manages operational human resources related issues, including development and communication of policies, training administration, human resources reporting and coordinating compensation, payroll, and performance management processes. Duties and Responsibilities * Work with clients as a human resource professional providing guidance on compliance issues, employee benefits, performance management issues, tactical day-to-day HR challenges, and ensure all elements are in place for a successful human resource function * Work on consulting engagements in the areas of leadership training and development, compensation benchmarking, HRIS selection, assessing talent and performance, conducting audits, and preparing written summaries and reports for programs and projects * Act as a liaison with senior management and/or human resources department staff in ensuring the effective high-quality delivery of the service * Develop monthly and/or quarterly client status reports for the Lead Consultant's review * Achieve billable hour goals and works to help other team members with such * Enter data into HRIS systems; May process open enrollment paperwork; May also process payroll for assigned clients * Conduct human resources audits and internal compliance reviews and advising clients on recommended processes/procedures as needed * Is an expert in the field of human resources and shares accurate information and research with clients * Follow internal procedures to provide excellence in client service, protocols, and practices * Perform other duties as necessary Thought Leadership * Remain current with market issues and new developments in human resources * Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities * Ability to diagnose problems and analyze resolutions, both internally and externally with clients * Actively reads current articles for best practices in human resources - sets time aside each week to stay abreast on current events, news, opportunities Data and Process Integrity * Accurate and timely completion of projects and/or reports; adheres to appropriate response times for client and internal communications * Enters time daily and meets billable hour goals * Maintenance of client and company information in a confidential manner * Consistently follows service workflows and appropriately engages internal resources to ensure efficiency and accuracy of execution * Accurately maintain complete client files including the clear documentation of account detail in agency management systems including policy information, activities, attachments, and correspondence * Achieve desired levels of data completeness and process integrity by consistently meeting activity timelines, quality metrics and goals Peer Relationships * Provide feedback and shares information at team meetings * Participate in ongoing scheduled meetings with team to discuss accounts, renewals, service needs, service platform, etc. * Develop successful and effective working relationships with all service team members, managers, vendors, and members of other departments Required * HR Certification (PHR) * 3-5 years of payroll, benefit, and leave administration * Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite * Proven presentation abilities * Some travel, associated with trade shows, conventions, and client visits - 10% Preferred * SPHR certification * Technology focus - experience using various web platforms and research A Great Place to Work.
