Position Summary The Production Planning Manager is crucial in managing and supporting the supply chain and materials management functions for Lincoln Operations. This role ensures alignment with company objectives and efficient product supply to meet customer demands. The manager will develop metrics, lead customer service meetings, and maintain interfaces between site manufacturing operations and Zoetis commercial supply chain units. Position Responsibilities * Supports the integration of the local site scheduling planning processes with Zoetis global IBP, S&OE, S&OP, RCCP, Long Term Supply Planning, and Short-Term Exceptions Management/Issue Management processes. * Serves as the central point of contact for Lincoln Operations' Finished Goods and ABI supply to external or internal customers. * Drives the site supply delivery KPIs linked to scheduling/planning (OTIF, backorders, schedule adherence), and drives continuous improvement against failure modes linked to site scheduling/planning performance. * Partners with Global Supply Chain to communicate/escalate any service level risks and utilizes the agreed-upon tools (PowerBI, SAP) system to generate supply and inventory visibility. * Coordinates task force meetings with other departments if needed to help ensure supply continuity and ensures that all local and global reporting reflects the latest supply status. * Develops consolidated data-based volume forecasts for financial estimates (LE) and yearly budgets, aligning with agreed-upon supply parameters and inventory targets; based on equipment and labor capacity models with the aim of optimizing site absorption. * Tracks the deviations from the previously agreed-upon volume/production forecasts (LE or BU) and reports to senior management on a regular basis including the major root causes with the support from production and other relevant departments. * Liaises with quality assurance, regulatory, and commercial units to address quality and regulatory issues potentially impacting supply. * Manages product and FG/ABI inventory planning, adhering to company inventory policies, supply chain agreements, and year-end inventory targets. * Supports the mid to long-range capacity models building for Lincoln, collaborating closely with the global teams to ensure that latest models are aligned with Lincoln's capacity constraints (labor, equipment, facility). * Builds a diverse organization that will embrace a culture of continuous improvement, data-based decision-making, and customer service with a strong sense of mission. * Develops talent and continues to demonstrate functional excellence within his groups, builds leadership capabilities in the team. Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related scientific field is required. * A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or a production/quality function. * Thorough understanding of Value Stream Map and Lead Time Reduction processes. * Experience working in a regulated environment or biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Technical Skills and Competencies Required * Knowledge of production, inventory, and planning systems. Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP/MRP systems, in particular prior SAP experience / knowledge is critical. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supply chain data analysis skills utilizing ERP data and spreadsheets, able to process big data to extract the information/deviations. * Demonstrated proven capability to effectively lead and develop others, optimize team and organizational performance, execute strategic and operational plans, lead, and manage change. * Demonstrated ability to function and influence in a team matrix environment and have excellent interpersonal, planning and management skills. Physical Position Requirements * The position may require occasional travel (1-2 weeks per year). Outside regular working hours may be necessary (rarely) to meet with the global teams working in a different time zones.
