Full-time schedule. MUST be flexible and available for all days and shifts, including weekends and overnights. Pay Salary: $46,708 per year Must Have Vehicle and clean Driving Record Must be willing to travel to the Greater Chicago land and surrounding suburbs Must Have Armed and Unarmed Training Certificate Must Have IL PERC guard card and FOID Must be willing to travel to the Greater Chicago land and surrounding suburbs Security supervisor experience required. Primary Purpose and Function The primary purpose and responsibility of a Field Operations Supervisor includes all Rules and Regulations that of a Security Officer, in addition to, but not limited to the following: To act as a liaison between Operations, Field Assigned Personnel, and various inner-departmental functions within the branch, to include but not be limited to: supervising personnel, fielding calls, scheduling, payroll, and billing. The Field Supervisor will assist with the day-to-day operational and administrative activities to ensure the branch office and field accounts are operating with maximum efficiency. Responsibilities * Comply with company Code of Conduct, Policies, Procedures, and Safety Protocols and assure compliance of each by all field assigned subordinates. * Complete site checks and document/record findings via computerized application. * Inspect field assigned personnel to ensure Handbook Policies and Post Orders are followed. * Inspect worksites for safety hazards and risk to security staff. * Investigate and complete reports related to incidents and/or accidents. * Deliver new-hire orientation, training, and on-going educational developmental programs. * Aid in the retention of field personnel while ensuring that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect. * Coach employees and administer disciplinary actions, as necessary at the direction of Branch Management. * Stand post when a suitable security officer cannot be scheduled due to call offs, no-call, no-show, vacations, holidays, etc., but never to exceed more than fifty percent (50%) of time in any given workweek. * Respond to any/all communications regarding call-off or no-show in accordance with Company policy. * Communicate with field officers regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters, to ensure effective delivery of services. * Prepare, discuss, and implement disciplinary notices and corrective actions. * Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of potential security officers. * Conduct and/or assist with new hire on-boarding, training and deployment of personnel. * Supervise field officers to ensure that service expectations are being met through regular contact with applicable project managers, site supervisors, site leads, security officers, and clients. * Evaluate service quality, inspect posts, and initiate corrective action in a timely manner. * Participate in security officer performance reviews. Make recommendations for placement of personnel. * Meet with operations management for status updates and to address actual or potential problems; provide support during client start-ups; provide input to security planning, assessments and surveys; review post orders and communicate requirements and changes to affected personnel. * Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. * Ensure that subordinate staff members and field assigned personnel understand and comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. * Perform tasks and/or additional duties as required or requested by Company. Education and Experience High School graduate (some college education is preferred). * Minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required. * Demonstrated skills in web searching and use of Excel and Word programs. * Strong organizational and interpersonal skills preferred. * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Key Performance Criteria * Ability to supervise security officers to ensure excellence in service delivery. * Ability to observe, report, and correct performance issues with subordinate security officers. * Ability to timely and accurately complete daily paperwork and requisite reporting. * Ability to demonstrate good judgment and common sense. * Ability to follow directions and directives from supervisors. * Ability to present a friendly and professional demeanor in the delivery of quality customer service. Required Certifications / Licenses * Valid driver's license. * Current or capable of acquiring applicable automobile insurance. * Current or capable of acquiring a Guard Card/Certification/License/Permit as may be required by jurisdictional law. * Successful completion of a Criminal and Motor Vehicle background check. * Successful completion of other applicable Client, SMSSI, or jurisdictional requirements. Other Requirements Must be present in the field or branch office during assigned shift. * May require some local and/or long-distance travel. * May require long shifts and short notice schedule changes to include overtime. Working Conditions (Physical/Mental Demands) With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions of the job. In addition to other demands, fundamental demands may include but are not limited to: * Maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public; occasionally under conditions of urgency, emergency, and in pressure situations. * Daily use of hands and feet; frequently required standing, sitting, stooping, talking, and hearing. * Ability to read computer screens, smart phone screens, correspondence, and reports in English. * Ability to maintain and safeguard sensitive and confidential information. * Ability to respond on an on-call basis to emergencies and incidents at all hours. * Ability to drive an automobile and/or commute via other applicable public transportation to include but not be limited to: taxi, bus, train, and/or airplane. * Occasional local travel required.
