Purpose: The Program Director is responsible for overseeing and directing all services in the department. Responsibilities include planning, development and evaluation of a program or programs in the service line. The Program Director will work to provide clinical and administrative leadership for programs. Responsibilities: * Coordinates staff development within the program to meet program needs, including annual review of position specific competencies. * Demonstrate the ability to effectively respond to emergent situations, including appropriate notifications. * Attends and participates in all relevant WPIC/provider/ and stakeholder meetings or committees to ensure positive working relationships and increase knowledge of systems. * Conducts individual evaluations of staff performance within the set time period. * Develop, monitor and maintain program within the proposed budget, including monitoring and maintaining productivity standards. * Oversees recruitment, retention and employee relations and/or corrective action in coordination with the Clinical Administrator and Human Resources. * Assists in preparing for and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. * Implements new developments or program expansion representing current behavioral health trends. * Ensures all new staff are oriented and trained appropriately. Provides/coordinates effective training and individual supervision for all program staff. * Coordinate, consult and collaborate with inpatient, ambulatory, and research programs. * Assists Clinical Administrator in annual strategic goals which coincide with the mission of the service line. * Maintains established Department procedures and objectives of quality assurance, safety, infection control and regulatory agencies. * Develop, implement, and ensure compliance of all program and institute policies and procedures. * Assess, evaluate, and identify program strength and opportunities for improvement through PDSA process. * Serves as a resource/consultant for consumers, clinicians, nursing, and all staff Qualifications: Qualifications: * Masters Degree in a human services field. * Certifications/professional licensure required by licensing agency (if applicable) * Five years of demonstrated competence in program administration required. * Proven leadership skills required and an ability to work with consumers and their families and to work collaboratively with other staff members specifically demonstrating communication, coordination and organizational skills.Knowledge of community and outpatient programs to provide continuing behavioral treatment to the patient and family. * Must be able to work independently, set priorities and meet deadlines.
