Avient is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team! We are looking for a seasoned professional with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the recruitment process, and the ability to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies that support our business priorities. Located in our World Headquarters in Avon Lake, Ohio, you will lead the US and Canada Talent Acquisition team with a focus on positioning Avient as an employer of choice. The successful incumbent will be a thought leader who performs independently and has demonstrated the ability to effectively interact and influence at all levels of an organization, including the Executive level. In addition to managing, coaching and developing a team of experienced Recruiters, you will be responsible for driving strategic program development, innovative and creative program design and efficiently executing the programs that support the various recruiting related work streams at Avient. Essential Functions: * Understand Avient's strategic priorities and those specific to the businesses and functions through partnership with the leadership and HR teams. Prioritize the Talent Acquisition team's time and focus to ensure the maximum positive impact from roles filled. * Lead the recruiting strategy and execution for the entire portfolio of positions by driving the development of leading edge recruiting strategies that seek multiple sources and tools to identify and build a pipeline of high quality diverse and top talent. * Support Avient's Employer Branding and EVP projects and incorporate materials into all facets of talent attraction. * Thoughtfully use data and metrics to guide decision making and performance output of the team. Ensure relevant KPIs are in place and measured to demonstrate best-in-class results * Partner with all levels of management to understand succession needs and develop. proactive strategies to address talent gaps, preparing the organization for long term success. * Research current recruiting trends, best practices, methods and processes to proactively recommend changes that position the company to attract top talent. * Empower and inspire excellence from the US and Canada talent acquisition team through direct leadership of recruiters focused on professional level roles and coaching the Talent Acquisition Supervisor who leads the production and manufacturing specific roles and vendors such as Temporary Labor. Support team in building strong partnerships with hiring managers and HR partners to achieve mutual success in candidate placements. * Leverage the current global applicant tracking system, Taleo and lead the implementation of a new Global Recruitment system in 2025 to maximize benefits, including developing and reporting on key recruiting metrics. * Participate in the early talent recruiting process by providing strategic inputs to Avient's early talent strategy to hire interns, co-ops and leadership development program candidates * Participate in hiring strategies and events in alignment with Employee Resource Groups and external diverse professional associations. * Collaborate and communicate with Human Resources Business Partners on a variety of operational and strategic initiatives including; new hire onboarding, Affirmative Action Planning, compensation and other pertinent talent topics. Leverage these partnerships to have a solid understanding of Avient's HR processes and policies to assist in talent attraction * Lead programs such as Relocation, Pre-Employment Screening, social media, and employment advertising to ensure multiple channels and the proper approach to position Avient as an employer of choice. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred. * 10+ years' experience in Business or Human Resources with experience leading full cycle recruiting. * Experience leading a team with emphasis on coaching, career development, and driving accountability * Motivates and inspires others with a strong desire to win and through demonstrating functional and leadership competencies * Demonstrated strength using data and analytics to help drive decision making * Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive change / process management. * Strong interpersonal and effective presentation skills. * Self-starter with high sense of urgency and drive for results in developing and attaining recruiting goals. * Strong knowledge of systems including social network recruiting platforms, specifically Taleo, Indeed, Oracle and the LinkedIn Recruiter platform.
